Noise – why does it seem so difficult?
Noise and its effects are often cited as the reason a development of any size or type shouldn't proceed. The project may be anywhere on the scale from full corporate and resource hungry through to altruistic and gorgeously green, and yet still receive opposition because of noise emissions. A perspective on the RMA reforms will be offered based on what is publicly available at the time of the conference and what this may mean for compliance, monitoring and enforcement.
Damian will discuss his experience over the past 30 years, the newest tools for measuring noise remotely, and his new work focus where some say he is a poacher turned gamekeeper.
Damian will also incorporate a live demonstration of web-connected noise monitoring equipment and a Q&A on any of your burning acoustic questions. If you could send questions before the conference to compliance@mrnoise.com, then he will endeavour to prepare material to answer these.
